Screens are the reason a lot of people think their windows still look dull after a clean. Mesh holds an enormous amount of fine dust, pollen and insect debris, and because it's grey on grey you don't see it until it's washed. Clean glass behind a dirty screen still reads as a dirty window from inside the room.
We take screens out, wash the mesh and the frame properly, let them dry, and refit them. Every screen gets labelled by window as it comes out, so nothing goes back in the wrong opening and nothing gets bent forcing it into a frame it wasn't made for.
Screen cleaning is included at no extra charge on the Tri-Annual, Quarterly and Monthly plans. On a one-time or annual clean it's available as an add-on.
Aluminium frames from the seventies and eighties go brittle, and the spline holding the mesh dries out. We handle them carefully, but if a screen is already at the end of its life we'll show you rather than quietly reinstall a bent one.
Spring in the Fraser Valley loads screens heavily — cottonwood, alder and grass pollen all end up in the mesh. A clean going into summer makes a noticeable difference to how much light comes through.
